This video is by far one of my favorite recent videos put out. Lorin ashton and the Bassnectar team put lot of work and time into this one. The concept opf the video is to mess with your visual perception. Its almost as if you were to close one eye then open the other. like alternating views from left eye to right eye, throughout the whole video. this video must have taken a long time to make. Its very shaky and should be watched sober.
I cant believe this has over 94,000,000 views, its like he is a version of a westerly world LMFAO or some shit. The video is completely out of control, every 3-5 seconds it changes to a new scene. Its like this guy has too much money and just doesn't care. From a first glance it looks like a cartoon video, but its really a highly produced video, probably worth millions. I don't like it, its weird...
I saw the behind the scenes, making of the video, deadmau5 ft. gerard way the other day, and thought to myself boy this should be interesting. I was a little confused as to how they were going to make this into a ufc match. What they didn't show in the behind the scenes was the virtual "Mice." I think overall it is a very well produced video. what i didn't like was the cat...deadmau5 likes to involve his cat in everything he does just about. Unless you follow deadmau5 you would have no idea or understand what the cat represents. But from someone like me who follows deadmau5, i still don't understand what his cat is supposed to be doing in the video. Meowingtons is a robot and it doesn't make sense what the cat is doing.
Who couldn't respect the epic flow of the gorillaz. For being a computer illustrated band with gorilla/human cartton figures, their videos really impress me with the use of special effects and fantasy wonderlands, i rate this video a 3 out of 5. Feel good Inc. is a much better video with higher resolution and more real like effects(floating islands that are drivable like a car).
